April Self Portrait

Every now and then I like to draw a self portrait, if for nothing else than to prove to myself that I still have some life drawing skill.  So this was me from about 1:30 to 1:40 last night.

This is an illustration of the book Farenheit 451.  In the future firemen burn books because they're illegal, but one fireman isn't buying it.

Tree by Water

This 9x11" graphite sketch was sold at the Bluewater Men's Camp auction for $50.
I'm a real artist now.

Subcutaneous Figure

This drawing is a study of the skeletal structure, and how muscle and tissue lies on top of it.

Reclining Figure

This drawings portrays the manner in which the human figure lies when relaxed.

Drawing Co-op

These studies were made at an MCAD drawing co-op. I was trying to research and refine parts of human anatomy that previously gave me trouble when drawing.

Drapery Study

This was a study in drapery, and how it reacts to the figure.

This drawing was made by moving around a figure every 8 minutes until a full 360º rendering was achieved.
